No. A valid credit card in the driver’s own name is required at pick-up. Cash deposits, prepaid cards and debit cards are not accepted.
How old do I have to be?
23 if purchasing Kaizen’s insurance. Drivers with their own transferable automobile insurance may be eligible regardless of age, subject to the rental terms.
How many kilometres are included?
150 km per day, 1,000 km per week and 3,000 km per month. Extra kilometres are charged by vehicle class.
What are your hours?
Monday–Friday 10:00 AM–6:00 PM. Saturday by appointment. Sunday closed. Pre-arranged out-of-hours service carries a $100 charge.
Do you pick up from Toronto Pearson?
Yes, by prior arrangement. The North York location is about 15 minutes from Pearson.
How do I extend a rental?
Call at least 24 hours before the contract ends. Late returns are charged and the vehicle is not insured after the contract expires.
What is the cancellation policy?
More than 48 hours before pick-up: no charge. Inside 48 hours: one day of the rental rate.
What is the fuel policy?
Return the vehicle at the same fuel level. Short fuel is charged plus a $20 administration fee.
Can I use credit-card collision coverage?
Yes if your card issuer confirms rental collision coverage. Liability is separate.
Do vans and pickup trucks require my own insurance?
Yes. Seven/eight-passenger vans and pickup trucks require your own transferable auto policy with at least $1,000,000 liability. Credit-card coverage alone does not qualify.
Do you have winter tires?
Optional November through April at $14.99 per day.
What is the minimum rental?
Four days for online bookings.
